I recently bought an ipod.  I bought it as my Christmas gift from my family, but did not have the patience to wait.  My purpose in buying it was to be able to listen to music, but more importantly I wanted to listen to preaching.  Although, I am careful that I listen to the truth and preachers that I know and respect.  The Bible states that we should only listen to the truth and ban all others.

Galations 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As I started to load my ipod with sermons, I found myself wanting to listen to some old school preaching.  I felt that it was important to glean something from those that have traveled the path before me. In doing so, I have found one common theme and that is to not compromise the doctrine.

Our methods of having church have changed.  The music has changed and perhaps the way we deliver the message has been technologically enhanced, but it is important to understand that the message cannot change.  There is no room for compromise in the church today and our vision must be to reach the lost souls that need a relationship with Jesus Christ.
