The love of God is so wonderful and beautiful. I am sure that many preachers have stood in pulpits around the world today and preached about the love of God. The Bible states:
1John 4:19
We love him, because he first loved us.
God has always loved us. He has always known us.
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee...
It is important to understand that He does love us more than anyone else. With that love, comes the correction that we so often need. Like a earthly father, our heavenly Father will correct and discipline us. Often times, it is through the preached or studied Word or through prayer. It is important to understand that we need to be convicted in church and not comfortable (hearing what pleases us). The Word convicts for the Bible states:
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
It is His love that delivers and heals. It is His love that brings change to our life for He is love. The scripture states:
1John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
It is important to love one another and to act through love. I need to pastor with love and you need to minister to each other through love. Why? Because the Word states:
1John 4:20
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1John 4:21
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
Please do what you do and say what you say with love because God is love and we want to make it to heaven.
