The world is full of negatives...the violence, the economy, the politics and the list can go on and on.  In writing this blog, it is easy to comment on the negative aspects of our society while preaching repent or perish.  I believe that we are born into sin and shapen in iniquity(Psalms 51:5) and that we need to come humbly before God and repent, but I am also reminded of the joy that only Jesus can bring.  The Bible uses the term joy a total of 165 times in 155 verses and I have posted a few to remind you that even if the world looks bleak, Jesus still brings joy...

Nehemiah 8:10 ... for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

1Peter 1:8 ...ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Psalms 27:6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.

Psalms 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

1John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

Have a wonderful and joyful day always mindful ...

1Peter 4:13 But be glad that you are given a part in the pains of Christ; so that at the revelation of his glory you may have great joy. (BBE)
