I am sorry that I have not posted in a week or so...but I am back.  I hope that everyone did not abandon me.

In reading today, I noticed that Jesus stated...

Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

Of all the commandments in the scripture, why is this one the first? Jesus is referencing Deuteronomy 6:4 and this is the foundation for salvation...

John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

If we do not know who Jesus is and that He is the one true God than we have no basis for our faith.  Throughout the scripture, it is apparent that the Almighty God is one...

Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

The Basic Bible English version says....

Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the Lord; and there is no saviour but me.

Acts 9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

It is essential that we understand how important it is that we believe in God and who He is.  I challenge you to search the scripture so that you can have an understanding that...

1Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
