I have a prayer journal.  It is simply a leather bound book that stays with me and I take it into my prayer closet.  It gives me structure when I pray and also it includes lists of churches, ministries and people that I pray for everyday.  This helps when you tell someone that you will pray for them (and really do it).

Within in the pages of my journal are two scriptures (among many) that I pray each day.  They are prayers that someone thousands of years ago prayed so that God would bless their lives and the lives of their families and each day I continue to pray them for my family.  I challenge you to pray these scriptures upon your family, so that your family can live within the blessings of God...

2 Samuel 7:29 Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.

1 Chronicles 4:10 ...Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

God's Word Version of Jabez's prayer..."Please bless me and give me more territory. May your power be with me and free me from evil so that I will not be in pain." God gave him what he prayed for.
