I realize that the embedded video on this post is a break from my normal post.  As many of you know, I am a firefighter and I came across this video on a blog aimed at firefighters.  It is a plea from a mother  to put smoke detectors in your home.  She makes this plea following the lose of her children in a recent house fire in Philadelphia.  The home that her children died in had no working smoke detectors.  The message is simple.  If you do not have smoke detectors, please install them immediately and if you do have them check and/or change the batteries.
