There seems to be a move within the country to ban the use of prayer in the name of Jesus.  The most recent evidence of this was at the inauguration of President Obama.  The name of Jesus apparently offends some and therefore conspired against by those that do not want it said in the public arena.  This is a distinct movement away from what our founding fathers envisioned for our nation for George Washington said...

It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.

The Christians of this nation must resist this push to limit our ability to pray in the way that was commanded by the Word of God.
Colossians 3 states...

17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

I do not believe that we need to march in the streets, but we should certainly not back down from doing what we know is right according to the Word of God.  When we are given the opportunity to pray then we should pray in Jesus name without fear.  It is the name that will separate us for the Bible states Luke 21...

12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

Compromise is not a Biblical principle.  We need to be ever vigilant to the tactics of the enemy and not allow ourselves to be caught in the net of compromise.  When you pray, do so in the name of Jesus.
