The debate of separation of church and state continues with the latest victim being the coach of a high school football team leading his team in prayer. I am truly amazed by this continued fight against all things positive (although I should not be). As Christians, we know that prayer works and that God answers our prayers. I have personally witnessed many miracles and have experienced the healing power of God . I could give you many scriptures that speak of the power of prayer, but today I choose to give you something from a December 22, 2008 article written by Christine Larson on www.usnews.com. It reads as follows...

In recent years, a growing number of rigorous studies have shown that spirituality—including prayer, meditation, and attendance at religious services—benefits health in ways that science hasn't fully explained. Among other effects, regular worship and other spiritual acts appear to lengthen life expectancy, strengthen immunity, improve the body's response to stress, and boost other measures of physical health.

The coach in the Fox News video is helping the young men on his football team to understand the positives of prayer and a relationship with God while helping to make them to live healthier, happier lives.  How is this terrible or detrimental to the teenagers of this high school football team?
